Minds were blown last week when surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic got together to perform songs by their former band for the first time since Kurt Cobain walked the earth, about two decades ago.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony used to be a drunken, freewheeling event that would stretch to all hours of the night, today it is an arena rock spectacle stunning moments that won’t soon be forgotten.
“They spoke the truth, and people listened,” presenter Michael Stipe said. “This was not just pop music.”
Once Grohl and Novoselic sat down to discuss the whirlwind week they’ve been having, no time was wasted mentioning their fallen frontman, Kurt Cobain.
The upcoming full-length will be the band’s first since 2011 effort, ‘The Sea of Memories.’
Kick-ass drummer of the Foo Fighters, Taylor Hawkins, recently released the news that his latest project, band Birds of Satan, will release their first album on April 15th.
Is this the heaviest band of all time? Yes. Yes it is.
It will be the first-ever Grammy telecast performance for Nine Inch Nails and QOTSA.
Last September, Grohl reunited with his former Dain Bramage bandmates for a portrait that was posted on Twitter, although there’s no indication if the photo is indicative of an impending reunion.
