There are many people claim to be conceived at Woodstock in 1969. Not to be outdone by the feckless hippies, Black Francis says that he conceived his first son at his first Coachella ten years ago. Cherish the thought.
“We are definitely getting together in May in Vancouver,” he told the Daily Telegraph. “We’re going to pick up some guitars, have a plonk, and see if anybody has got any tunes or ideas. If anything happens, we’ll record it.”
The band’s former bassist will reunite with Axl Rose for the first time since 2010.
The band will release, Indie Cindy, their follow-up to 1991′s Trompe le Monde, on April 29 in North America via the band’s own indie label, Pixiesmusic.
It will be the third such ‘Trilogy’ trek for the Cure, with the band having played albums ‘Three Imaginary Boys,’ ‘Seventeen Seconds’ and ‘Faith’ on tour in 2011.
