Week 12 of the NFL is upon us and we can only hope it lives up to the hype of week 11. There are a number of stat and data-based tools to help us untangle every match-up; who to choose and who to avoid. Last week he was 1-2; our go-to guy to get the picks is RJ Bell (@RJinVegas on Twitter). We gave a short recap but listen to the audio below to get the full breakdown!
Big Dog: New York Jets +8 hosting New England
This game has the big brother little brother scenario behind it which means the rivalry behind this is huge; the jets (little brother) want nothing more than to beat the patriots (big brother). The last 6 times they’ve played each other the jets have covered all 6 times. The Pats are playing their 4 road game in 5 games so fatigue is starting to play a factor. It’s a bold pick but RJ is picking the Jets +8.
Best Bet: Washington Redskins +7 at Dallas Cowboys
Rj always talks about buying cheap and selling high. This game is exactly that. The Cowboys have covered 9 straight times. People that have been betting on Dallas have been doubling their money and they’re happy about that. The Redskins have also covered 7 of their last 8 games but people aren’t really talking about it as much, they’re flying under the radar. Redskin are cheap, Dallas is expensive; RJ likes Washington.
Big Game: (Monday Night Football) Philadelphia Eagles -3.5 over Green Bay Packers
Monday nights have been tough for RJ this season but he keeps picking away. Green Bay isn’t having a good season and on top on that they’re not good on the road. At All. Since 2012 they’re 19-22 straight up on the road on top of being injured. On the other hand Phili is on the rise right now and the city is super excited about a MNF game. This season at home they’ve won all 4 games and also covered every single one of those. RJ likes the Eagles for this game.
