Last night, Win Butler of Arcade Fire took the stage at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York to cover Bruce Springsteen and urge young people to get out and vote.
With Election Day looming just one day in the distance, the singer performed “Born in the U.S.A.” and made special thanks to “all the immigrants” who’ve been on the receiving end of our bruising political discourse. The concert, titled Jam the Vote, positioned itself as a “celebration of democracy through the positive energy of live music.”
Craig Finn of the Hold Steady performed Nick Lowe’s “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, And Understanding” and other acts included Questlove, Matisyahu and more. The entire concert is available to stream on YouTube: Watch below and get inspired to perform your civic duty on Tuesday.
