Week 9 of the NFL is upon us and we can only hope it lives up to the hype of week 8. There are a number of stat and data-based tools to help us untangle every match-up; who to choose and who to avoid. Last week he was 2-1; our go-to guy to get the picks is RJ Bell (@RJinVegas on Twitter). We gave a short recap but listen to the audio below to get the full breakdown!
Big Underdog: (-7½) Dallas Cowboys at Cleveland Browns
RJ is all about going with the spread. With that being said, he wouldn’t be shocked if if the Browns win this game. All the talk around the league is all about Dak Prescott. He says there’s a little too much excitement about the Cowboys right now and this is the biggest road favorite for Dallas since 2009! RJ likes Dallas.
Best Bet: (+3) Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
The best bet again this week for RJ is Phili Vs. New York. The most important factor in this game is turnovers. RJ claims if you can tell him the winner of the turnover battle, he can tell you who will cover the spread 77% of the time. The Eagles are +6 (ranked 5th in NFL) in that category and the Giants are -7 (ranked 30th in NFL). RJ likes New York.
Big Game Special: (+1) Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders
Raider fans are excited to be where they’re at with finally having a winning season… RJ is calling them one of the most overrated teams. This is Sunday night game and winning close games is another example of luck, says RJ. The Raiders are 5-1 in games decided by a touchdown or less. Now that’s luck. You can say they’re clutch all you want but when betting, Vegas guys don’t believe in clutch. Broncos have also won 15 out of 16 divisional road games which is a NFL record and also 14-2 against the spread in those games. RJ likes the Broncos to win this game.
