Chart-topping metal band Avenged Sevenfold will release their seventh album The Stage on Friday (Oct. 28). The record will be the follow-up to 2013’s Hail to the King and will feature 11 new songs.

Two weeks ago, the band debuted the album’s first single and video “The Stage,” but offered no release date for the record. The release will be the band’s first to feature new drummer Brooks Wackerman, who replaced Arin Ilejay (now in Islander) in 2015.

Avenged Sevenfold are expected to announce details about the album and support tour at an event today in which the band will stream a 3D, 360-degree performance that fans can watch on Universal’s newly released VRTGO virtual reality platform (free on iOS and Android).

VRLIVE will also stream the event to 50 Samsung Gear VR headsets on the ground level at the event. Fans wearing the headsets will reportedly be able to experience the show from the viewpoint of the stage.
