Michelada Rumble is back for Round 3!
Back in March I wrote that Michelada Rumble Round 2 was going to be the biggest beer event in SoCal and possibly the West Coast. The Rumble saw over 9,000 eager Michelada enthusiasts come out to drink. Super Steve and Co. are back to, dare I say, bring you an even bigger and better event this Saturday at Santa Anita Park.
Last Spring’s packed event didn’t come without glitches, and trust me when I say the Round 3 organizers took notice. Although one of the indicators for a successful event is high attendance, unfortunately that does not translate into a great customer experience.
So what did the organizers do?
They expanded the festival to take over both sides of the Santa Anita infield, doubling the festival’s original size. There was also a huge problem with the process of getting your michelada. That has also been taken care of. All of the michelada vendors will be accompanied by a beer vendor. Now there is no need to stand in two separate lines to get a beer and michelada mix. However, you still have to buy beer tickets, sorry folks there is no way around that one. My favorite complaint had to be that it was “too hot.” Well, there isn’t much anyone can do about that one. The forecast does call for a beautiful 80 degree and sunny day, so dress accordingly.
A lot have changes have been made to make this event a way more fun and a better experience for everyone in attendance. Returning to provide the soundtrack for the day is Jeremiah Red on the 1s and 2s and performing live, the Sweet and Tender Hooligans. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Michelada Rumble without lucha libre and the car exhibitions.
Michelada Rumble Round 3 is going to bigger and better in every way. The Rumble will not only double in size, but there will be way more Michelada and beer vendors spread out throughout the festival grounds. Some of your favorite vendors will be returning: MicheladaMix1, Camarones Cabrones, MIchelada Coco Loco and Senor Chelada. Adding their spin to Round 3 will be newcomers Viva Michelada Mix, Pinchi Michi Mix, Mi Ruca and the very popular Diablo Pops. There will be plenty of mixes to satisfy even the pickiest drinkers. Whether you like tomato based mixes or not there will be plenty of alternatives. This is your chance to try some of the best mixes in the country, some you normally wouldn’t have the chance of tasting. Round 3 has mixes from Nevada, Arizona and Texas showing off their unique styles. So step out of your box and try something new.
This Saturday is already looking to be an awesome day full of day drinking, good music and great people. Michelada Rumble Round 3 is a 21+ event so leave the little ones at home. You can still buy VIP and GA tickets at MicheladaRumble.com. Tickets are only $15 when purchased in advance ($20 day of) or step up to VIP for $40. Enter to win a 4-pack of VIP tickets here.
If you’re coming out be sure to park in the infield parking lot off of Colorado and enter through Gate 6. I hope to see you guys out there, I’ll be the fat guy with a Michelada in one hand and a plate of tacos in the other.
