It’s no secret that Jack White isn’t a fan of Donald Trump. A few days ago White blasted Trump for the unauthorized use of the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” in an unofficial campaign video.
“Regarding the use of ‘Seven Nation Army’ in a Donald Trump campaign video, The White Stripes would like to unequivocally state that they have nothing whatsoever to do with this video. They are disgusted by this association, and by the illegal use of their song,” read a message posted via the band’s Facebook page.
White took it one step further and will be releasing a new anti-Trump shirt with the words Icky Trump (a play on the band’s 2007 single “Icky Thump”) on front and lyrics from the song on back.
White Americans? What?
Nothing better to do?
Why don’t you kick yourself out?
You’re an immigrant too.
Who’s using who?
What should we do?
Well, you can’t be a pimp
And a prostitute too.
Shirts are currently available for pre-order at the Third Man Records online store until the official on sale date of Wednesday, October 12.
