KROQ is a proud AVON 39 partner. This is an important walk that we hope many of our listeners will chose to support.
Mallory, Miss Double D 2016 is acting as our team captain and has her own fundraising goal. KROQ will be at the Avon Walk in Santa Barbara this fall, so make sure to stop by and say hi. We’ll make sure to give extra love to any walkers who join the KROQ team.
We each have our reasons for participating – – whether it’s a personal fight with breast cancer, the struggle or loss of a loved one, or a deep commitment to the cause. We’ve each made a big commitment. We’ll spend the next few months training to prepare for a walk of up to a marathon and a half. Each team member is required to raise at least $1,800 in donations.
Please support our team. You can make a donation to any team member by clicking on their name here. If you’d prefer to write a check, just contact us at KROQ at 323-930-1067 and ask for Hope. We’ll send you the form and information.
Get more info and join the KROQ Team here. Use the code MissDD40 to register for only $40!
UPDATE: Register by July 28 for only $39 and get a $100 fundraising credit with KICKSTSTART16
Read a special message from Mallory below.
I’m Mallory, KROQ and Kevin & Bean’s Miss Double D 2016. KROQ is a proud Avon 39 partner. For the past few years, KROQ has asked that year’s Miss Double D to act as the KROQ Team Captain. I am happy to take on that role for 2016. As the KROQ Team Captain, I am participating in AVON 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer. It won’t be easy, but that’s why it’s worth it.
I am required to raise at least $1,800 to EARN MY 39, but I plan to raise much, much more! I hope that I can count on your support! Or even better, inspire you to walk.
Your donations will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation. The dollars you pledge will put food on the table of a breast cancer patient and her family. They will enable access to mammograms and medicine, fuel research, and save lives. Need any more reason to click that Donate Now button?
I’m walking with thousands of other 39ers…and hopefully a few KROQ fans. We’re banding together in solidarity and have one goal: to take breast cancer down. So many sisters and mothers and friends have been lost. We see a world without breast cancer for our daughters and nieces.
