A Fan Repaired the Tree on U2’s ‘Joshua Tree’ Album Artwork

Last month it was reported that an overzealous fan destroyed the Joshua Tree famed photographer Anton Corbijn used in the artwork throughout U2‘s Joshua Tree album. But now another fan has braved rattlesnakes, coyotes, tarantulas and other Mojave Desert critters to repair it in the middle of the night.

A fan named George G. has restored the tree to its former glory after one of the limbs was hacked off by someone eager to own a piece of rock history, Consequence of Sound reports.

Impressively, he fixed the tree with just one flashlight to guide him in the pitch-black park.
