Blink-182 fans waiting for new music will have to wait a little longer, but in the meantime, Mark Hoppus will have some tasty sonic treats to tide everyone over.

The pop-punk musician announced via Twitter today that he has started a new band with longtime collaborator Chris Holmes due in part to Tom DeLonge‘s alleged lack of interest in working on the new music Blink-182 announced that they’d be working on this year. The duo released a remix of a Nova Rockafeller song.

Blink-182’s last album was 2011’s Neighborhoods, although they did release an EP in 2012 called Dogs Eating Dogs. Tom DeLonge has been working with his Angels and Airwaves project for the last few years and Travis Barker is everyone’s go-to drummer for new projects.
