Kings of Leon took to the SNL stage for the third time in their career to perform two tracks from their latest album Mechanical Bull. The Brothers Followill rolled out the rock stomper “Temple,” before slowing things down with the power ballad “Wait for Me.” Check out the replays of the performances below.

The pre-holiday holiday episode featured host John Goodman, which marked his 13th time hosting the show. His first was in 1989 with musical guests The Reclines, a Patsy Cline tribute band fronted by k.d. lang. The term “full circle” doesn’t really apply, but Kings of Leon have worked more toward adding a country tinge to their sound. The band will head out on North American roads in 2014, with a string of newly-announced dates.
