Transplants Debut New Song “Come Around”

"In my opinion, it’s our best album." - Skinhead Rob

Punk super-group the Transplants, which includes Skinhead Rob (Aston), blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong have released new song “Come Around,” from the band’s forthcoming third full-length album, In A Warzone. The highly anticipated record is scheduled for release on Epitaph Records on June 25.

The band recently released the album’s title track as a free download.

The Transplants formed in 1999 when Tim Armstrong and Skinhead Rob began creating music together, bringing in a slew of musicians to help develop their sound. When they decided to officially start a band in 2002, they looked to their friend Travis Barker to complete the lineup. Their self-titled album, which contained their hit “Diamonds And Guns” was released in ’02, followed by their 2nd full-length Haunted Cities, which came out in June 2005.

“When we started this band 13 years ago, we weren’t worried about who was going to like us,” said Aston in a press release. “We still aren’t. In A Warzone is more raw and stripped down than our previous releases. In my opinion, it’s our best album. It’s always been difficult to classify Transplants. But at the end of the day, we’re a punk rock band. We make whatever type of music we want.”

The band has already set a co-headlining tour with Rancid which kicks off at Detroit’s Fillmore on June 11, wrapping up on June 23 at the Norva in Norfolk, VA.
