After releasing a heartfelt statement announcing why he would not be joining his Blink-182 bandmates at Austraila’s Soundwave Festival, drummer Travis Barker found himself in an ugly Twitter war with the show’s promoter, AJ Maddah.

Barker explained the reason for the cancellation was that he had counted on traveling by boat, yet the trip had not been arranged. Additionally, Barker was concerned about the trip’s short hops, saying, “They also didn’t schedule enough time to get from gig to gig without flying so I was forced not to go.”

Unhappy with Barker’s statements, Maddah accused Barker of never actually having planned to make the trip, questioning, “If you knew you were not coming, then why the f*** have us refurbish sleeper bus for you & your personal chef?”

To further exacerbate things, Maddah revealed private details about their business arrangement, citing that Barker was still demanding to be paid, even though Bad Religion drummer Brooks Wackerman will be performing in his place on the Australian dates.

After nearly twenty tweets back and forth in the wee hours of the morning (of which many have since been deleted), the two appear to be in agreement that a lack of communication was the real culprit. See the full timeline of Tweets at Australia’s MusicFeeds.com.
