Launching their 2013 return with a headlining slot at Coachella and the imminent release of a new album, French band Phoenix has announced a string of dates along the west coast of North American leading up to their appearance at the California desert festival.
Starting in Vancouver, Canada, on March 28, the new dates will find the band behind such hits as “1901” and “Lisztomania” hitting Seattle, Portland, Davis, CA, and two stops in Arizona – Tempe and Tucson – before headlining the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on April 10.
Phoenix is scheduled to headline the second night (Saturday) over both weekends of this year’s Coachella festival, April 13 & 20. After Coachella, the group will appear at the Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans and the Sweetlife Festival in Columbia, MD, before jetting over to Europe to play festivals in Spain and Germany.
Bankrupt!, Phoenix’s fifth studio album, is set for release sometime in April of this year, according to Daniel Glass, head of Glassnote Records, the band’s current label.
