Thom Yorke and Atoms For Peace collaborator Nigel Godrich, have announced a series of three dates where they’ll play the roll of DJs. This isn’t the first time Yorke spun the wheels of steel. Among his appearances as a DJ, the Radiohead frontman famously showed his skills last year during a DJ set at the Ace Hotel pool party, sandwiched between the band’s bi-weekend Coachella sets.
“Me & Nigel out & about with two turntables & a microphone – London 22feb, Berlin 8march, NY 14march. special guests & location to follow..”
Yorke’s side project with Godrich, called Atoms For Peace, also features the Chili Peppers’ Flea and internationally revered drummer Mauro Refosco. The team is set to release Amok, the band’s debut album on February 25. In an interview with BBC One’s Zane Lowe, Yorke and Godrich confirmed they would play select shows in Europe, but dates hadn’t been solidified.
