Just judging by the enormous number of friends who’d posted photos of their families from Saturday night’s Monster Jam at Anaheim Stadium, it was a complete blast. I think it was the first one I’d missed in years.

Whether it’s you and your drinking buddies or a family with children, Monster Jam is insanely fun for all.

Last year , my friend Sue at Feld Motorsports had the bright idea to let me drive a Monster Truck. Why? She’d clearly lost her marbles. From what I’m told, non-professional drivers are almost never permitted to get behind the wheel. I’d imagine it’s a huge liability.

When I got the OK, don’t think I didn’t drop everything and jam down to Anaheim to snag this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I’m like, “Cody, I’m heading to OC. Be back in a few hours. If I die, the website’s yours.”

I have be honest, driving the Iron Man truck made me a whole lot cooler to my two little boys.

I’m not sure if you could tell from the video, but they shut me down by remote control. Yes, the truck actually has a wireless “leash.” I was getting too fast. Hells yeah! And, since I know you’re going to ask why I didn’t go over any jumps, I was told that they just painted the hills and cars and didn’t want any scuffs till Saturday night. I think they were just worried that I’d crash.

A huge thanks to Scott and Team Iron Man for letting me drive around their quarter million dollar truck.

PS. Thank God I dropped a few pounds since shooting this video. Damn I was a fat ass.
