At KROQ, we’re often one of the first media outlets to recognize talent and give new, upcoming artists the exposure they deserve. We’re always proud when a local artist takes the next step. And one such artist who has done just that is Robert DeLong.

Early in 2012, Robert Delong caught our attention with his song, “Happy,” which quickly became a Locals Only favorite. Later in 2012, his second song, “Global Concepts,” also gained traction on Locals Only, enjoying several weeks as a regular on the playlist.

Shortly thereafter, “Global Concepts” helped take DeLong to the next level. The video for “Global Concepts” was just recently launched across the various MTV platforms, earning DeLong a spot as a “2013 MTV Artist To Watch.”

Since then, Robert DeLong’s schedule has exploded. He’ll be performing across the country over the next few months, including a January 16th appearance at the MTV Presents 2013 Artists To Watch sold out show in New York.

If you haven’t had a chance to see Robert DeLong live, you’ll have the opportunity when he returns to LA to perform an in-store performance at Amoeba Music on Tuesday, February 5th.
