The Awards Academy has voted, the ballots have been sorted and the 2013 OC Music Awards nominees in 23 Academy selected categories have been selected. The 2013 list of nominations welcomes back some OC Music Awards former winners and nominees as well as some fresh faces to the nominees including KROQ’s own DJ Jeremiah Red!
This announcement includes 23 of the 27 total 2013 Awards category nominees including two new category additions of Best Tribute and Best Music Producer. Still to come are announcements for OC Impact and Lifetime Achievement honors on February 4, the Best Live Band Showcase Series finalists after the last Showcase on February 19, and The People’s Choice Award nominees on March 4.
Make sure to cast your FAN VOTE for your favorite Showcase Series artist to help them advance to the Best Live Band category Finals and vote online for your favorite band in Orange County to receive the People’s Choice Award.
Join us tomorrow night, Tuesday, January 8, for the 2013 Showcase Series kick-off at Detroit Bar with Fellow Bohemian, Alabaster Stones, Flying Sparks, Robert Jon & the Wreck and The Field Trip competing in the Best Live Band category. Doors open at 730p, the first band performs at 8p, and the event is open to fans 21 years of age and over. The first 100 people to arrive receive a free Wahoo’s Fish Taco!
