Jimmy Kimmel’s Cousin Sal has been our go-to guy for NFL predictions, and last week he did pretty well with his picks.  After going 2-1 in Week 1, he feels pretty good about his picks for this week.

Sal’s Picks:

New England Patriots vs. Arizona Cardinals: This is a no-brainer game. The Pats are 14 point favorites, and Sal doesn’t like West Coast teams having to fly East. The Patriots look the best they have in the last 6 or 7 years, due to finally having a formidable defense to match their Brady-powered offense.

Prediction: Patriots 50, Cardinals 16, give the 14 points

New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers: Everyone is talking about RGIII’s success last week, but mostly that was due to the state of the  Saints’ post-bounty defense. Sal predicts the Saints’ D to have diminishing returns this year, while Cam Newton will have a great game.

Prediction: Panthers 30, Saints 23, give the 3 points

Atlanta Falcons vs. Denver Broncos: Sal isn’t drinking the Kool-Aid surrounding Peyton Manning.  He gave his guarantee that the Falcons, one of the NFC’s best teams, will defeat the Broncos.

Prediction: Falcons 34, Broncos 24, give the 3 points
