When Mumford & Sons released official audio of “I Will Wait,” the first single from their much-anticipated second full-length, Babel (due September 25) earlier this year, they did so with a video of freeway passing beneath rolling wheels, ending on the words “Road To Red Rocks.” Now the English folk band have revealed the song’s music video, which picks up where that last clip left off with a live performance of the song at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
The music video captures the energy and excitement of the band’s live show, showcasing the natural beauty of the Red Rocks venue and the band’s enthusiastic fans.
“Red Rocks, THAT was awesome,” Mumford & Sons wrote on the band’s website after the two shows there earlier this year when the video was shot. “Thank you to everyone who made it for your amazing crowd vibes. Another couple of nights the band will never forget. We are very excited about seeing your footage too…”
Mumford & Sons can next be seen making beautiful music with country legend Emmylou Harris when they share the stage for an upcoming episode of CMT Crossroads, which pairs country artists with acts from other genres. The concert will be filmed in front of an invitation-only Nashville audience and is scheduled to air on September 20.
