In the latest release from Mr. Cartoon’s Sanctiond Automotive, famed photographer Estevan Oriol captures Travis Barker‘s passion for classic cars. Between Mr. Cartoon having tattooed much of Barker’s body and Oriol having filmed several Blink-182 and Transplants videos, the duo earned the trust of the drummer. In the video interview, Barker speaks candidly about his love affair with his collection of 4-wheeled beauties.

“I think cars and drums are two thing I’ve always been passionate about,” says Barker. “It’s constantly evolving and I’ve never hit a spot where I hate my drums or I hate my cars. Whenever I see a nice car or I see a nice drum set it’s just as stimulating as seeing a girl. Most guys would freak out on a girl, and I’m looking at a ’61 Cadillac driving by me.”

“I bought my first Cadillac for $500, it had cancer holes in the hood, it was missing fenders, it was crazy. I ended up buying it, getting it in running condition and I was so proud to have it. Then I drove it to a Blink show, one of my first ones, and it caught on fire on the freeway.”

“I feel a paint job is a reflection of the personality of the owner. If they have a green car, or a cotton-candy blue car, it tells you more about the person. I stopped dating a girl because she didn’t like old cars.”

Sanctiond Automotive is a complete line of car care products designed by Mr. Cartoon, an L..A. based graphic and tattoo artist as well as avid car collector.
