Shiny Toy Guns’ “Waiting Alone” Short Film, A Twisted Journey To Find Love
In what could be one of the most ambitious music videos from an independent band, Shiny Toy Guns‘ Carah Faye Charnow and Jeremy Dawson went to great lengths to tell the story of “the love runner” in their new video for “Waiting Alone.”
The story begins as “the loverunner” played by singer, Carah Faye, receives a text from a lost love interest in Brooklyn, New York, 4000 miles away from her home in Hollywood, California. In a fury of emotion, the loverunner bursts out her door, and prepares to run, on foot, all the way across the United States. Through storms, canyons, rivers and mountains, she makes her journey. But along the way, “The Chosen One”, played by singer Chad Petree, tries to stop her, slow her down, and destroy her; preventing her from reaching her love.
The incredibly dramatic and well-edited 6:45 film was shot over an impressive 6,000 miles and 28 days of traveling.
Shiny Toy Guns’ third studio album, III is set for release on October 23rd.
