Damn, where did those flimsy cardboard red-blue 3-D glasses go? Are they in a drawer in the kitchen? Maybe in the living room under the couch? They’d come in handy right about now.
Green Day decided they’d bring back old-school 3-D technology for the “Oh Love” lyric video, the first single from the “¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tre! album trilogy.
In tune with the album art, “Oh Love’s” lyric video brings enough neon green to fill your annual quota.
Speaking about the trilogy, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong tells Rolling Stone, “With the first album you’re getting in the mood to party. On the second one, you’re at the party. And the third album you’re cleaning up the mess.”
¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tre! officially unfolds when the first disc, ¡Uno! hits stores September 25th, ¡Dos! on November 13th and ¡Tre! on January 15th. As if three albums aren’t enough, the punk trio from the Bay Area will release two documentaries. The first of which details the creation of the album trilogy, while the second digs deep into the Green Day archive to chronicle the days before Dookie, the band’s first commercial success.
