X Games veteran Bob Burnquist battled through a lower back injury to claim his 4th gold medal in the 7 years of the Big Air competition.

“The X Games have been a great event, being at this event as big as this stage with the skating this good, I couldn’t have done it without everyone who was there helping me out, including my wife,” said Burnquist. “I definitely couldn’t have done this alone.”

Burnquist beat out a field of young guns, including 15 year old Mitchie Brusco who took the silver with a massive 900 on the quarter pipe. Bronze medalist Nolan Monroe pulled off a HUGE McTwist, setting the record to date at a height of 20 feet 2 inches.

RESULTS:

  1. Bob Burnquist
  2. Mitchie Brusco
  3. Nolan Monroe
  4. Jake Brown
  5. Rony Gomes
  6. Tom Schaar
