As part of the YouTube Presents series, Metronomy recently sat down for a question and answer session and live performance. The band’s notoriety recently jumped ten-fold when it was announced that they’d been offered the opening slot on Coldplay‘s world tour.
When asked how they landed that gig as the opening act, front man Joseph Mount answered whimsically, “We just got an email. As simple as that really. I’m not really sure exactly but I think someone was talking us up to their manager quite a lot and managed to twist their arm.”
The band’s tweets are further evidence of their very dry British sense of humor.
