Twenty-four years after their debut album hit stores in 1988, Jane’s Addiction is finally confirmed to be joining the likes of the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The band is due to be inducted some time in 2013, but a date has yet to be announced.
Jane’s Addiction has made their mark on fans with four studio albums and 17 singles, as well as headlining countless tours and festivals, like Coachella and Lollapalooza. VH1 called them one of the 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock, and Rolling Stone put their certified 3x Platinum album Ritual de lo Habitual on their 100 Best Albums of the Nineties list.
The band Tweeted their excitement to receive the Hollywood honor.

Janis Joplin, the Backstreet Boys and Usher are also scheduled to receive Walk of Fame stars next year.
Jane’s Addiction continues their Theater of the Escapists Tour into September.
