An awful list.No Elvis Costello. No Sex Pistols. No FIshbone. No Public Enemy (Well, KROQ never plays black bands). Green Day and Blink 311 are awful corporate punk. Green Day has a Broadway Shoe.

Nothing against the Beastie Boys but honestly they only won this poll because of the late Adam Yauch. This was a voting poll to see who listeners feel ARE CURRENTLY the 106.7 biggest bands of all time. So Beastie Boys got the nod because they are on everyone’s mind right now. There are definitely BIGGER bands on the list with larger fan bases. Though the Beastie Boys definitely would have been up there regardless. It’s like if Bono died a couple weeks back everyone would have voted for U2 because the world’s biggest douche was fresh on there minds. So this poll was indicative of the times and current listeners, it just wasn’t accurate according to the actual facts of who has sold the most records, biggest fan base, most revenue from touring, etc. RIP Adam Yauch.

Sublime Ughhh I personally f**king hate SKA and yes I am from southern california. There is literally only 1 band on that top 10 list that I like and its Beastie Boys. The fact that Sublime, Incubus, Linkin Park and Blink 182 somehow made higher up than The Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, SoundGarden, Deftones, Tool and Radiohead is beyond me, but then again it is Southern California, why else is Sublime so high and on the list and Sublime with rome actually made it ahahahahahaha WTF!!! that’s actually really funny and not many people outside of SOCAL even know they exist, oh well I guess there were a lot of voters from Long Beach California and pretty much everyone there is a fan of sublime.

KROQ, you used to be the amazing place that the rest of the world took it’s cue from, what happened? You broke the Ramones, You put Depeche Mode, Blondie, Dramarama and countless others on the map and now you are the worst radio station I have ever heard. I used to travel the world and people thought it was so cool that I lived in a place where I could hear your station and now no one knows who you are. I wish you would go back to your truly alternative roots and stop playing bands with no talent like Linkin Park.
