’tis Mr. Brian ‘Stray Cat’ Setzer’s birfday and to celebrate, we be swingin’.

Much like K & B’s Swingin’ Sack many Christmases ago, Brian played our Acoustic Christmas at the height of the new swing era, the show that was appropriately enough at the Shrine Auditorium (where it looked for a bit like we might have the upper balcony landing on the people in the cheap seats below as everyone was jumpin’, jivin’ and wailin’).

Besides Mr. Setzer, today’s KROQ flashbacks will also walk you through some of the other monster hits of the day (courtesy of Mr. Happy Sperm from our days at the Palace in Hollywood).
