Brazilian Artists Os Gemeos Take Over The Prism Gallery
The Brazilian twins Os Gemeos, better known as Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo, have come to show Los Angeles their bright and imaginative art. They’re returning to SoCal coming off the buzz of last year’s most talked about show ‘Art and the Streets’ and having a stand out collection, to say the least.
‘Miss You’ delivers the signature yellow figures engulfed into a vast world of sublime colors, dreams, creativity, surrealism, imagination and a great amount of playfulness humor.
The Prism Gallery brought the twins to LA once again to show why they are a driving force within the ever-evolving graffiti art scene. The twins bring their art from the streets of Brazil to the gallery walls, where they deliver a wide array of sculptures that lay at the floor of the space like glowing reverse water droplets. You walk into the room as if you are stepping into the mind of the artists with their thoughts and emotions plastered all over the walls and ceilings.
Then there are the paintings filled with bright and bold colors whose imaginative characters provoke your senses and question reality. You can’t help but get drawn in by these lovable yellow characters. Fishing into the center of the earth. Roller skating and popping on the beachfront. Beautiful women dancing and flowing among geometric shapes and patterns. Os Gemeos just can’t help but take a hold of your senses, while they are swirling in your dreams and blasting your world with all the brightest colors Brazil has to offer.
The Twins have once again left me standing in full attention and drooling for more. Hopefully we don’t have to wait long for them to return and show America they mean business.
