Indiana-based rock band [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Ataris[/lastfm] are finally back in town! The alt quartet - which hasn’t performed as a full unit since 2010 – will headline two intimate performances: tonight (3.22) at The Vibe in Riverside and tomorrow (3.23) at DiPiazza’s in Long Beach.
After releasing five studio albums, (2007’s Welcome the Night being the most recent) The Ataris have been busy perfecting and polishing the much-anticipated LP The Graveyard of the Attic.
The Ataris are best-known for their cover of the Eagles classic “Boys of Summer,” a tasty jam that is the perfect complement for a sunny drive or a day at the beach.
The ever-evolving group has undergone plenty of transmutations within year’s past; most notably in regards to the band’s lineup. This sense of novelty has transmitted to The Graveyard of the Attic by recording the album on analog tape; foreshadowing more vintage flavors.
A first for the veteran rock troupe.
