Considered by generations of music purveyors as one of the most reputable music publications in the United Kingdom, NME Magazine gave out their coveted NME Awards yesterday.

Commonplace heavy-hitting awards like Best British Band and Best Album were doled out– [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Florence + The Machine[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Foo Fighters[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Muse[/lastfm] came out big winners.

In typical jocular British fashion, however, other awards were bestowed like Villain Of The Year and Hottest Female.[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Noel Gallagher[/lastfm] received the biggest (and most hilariously-titled) award of the night, the Godlike Genius Award, from the hands of another “godlike genius,” [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Johnny Marr[/lastfm] of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Smiths[/lastfm].

Here’s a list of all the winners.

Our favorite?

For all his cheeky Casanova tactics meant to make pre-teen maidens swoon, the NME musical community dubbed Justin Bieber as “Villian of the Year.”
