What started out as a cold, brisk morning turned into one of the nicest days this “winter” as hoards of Oregon and Wisconsin fans descended upon the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on this warm and sunny day. Greeting the tailgaters were tons of food, festivities, and the Vizio 3D Lounge at the Brookside Gold Club (located adjacent to the bowl) – which featured a free performance from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Dirty Heads[/lastfm].
Stryker was on hand to host the event, and was able to interview not only The Dirty Heads, but football legend Desmond Howard, ESPN analyst Erin Andrews (ding ding ding!) and several crazy fans from both teams playing in the Rose Bowl. The Dirty Heads played a great hour-long set for fans visiting the Vizio 3D Lounge and those who happened to be cruising by the KROQ stage.
First thing upon his arrival, Stryker headed out to find some of the biggest Oregon and Wisconsin fans in attendance. Not surprising, most of the people he spoke with were slightly intoxicated. A girl does a one-handed keg stand, Stryker tries his luck at beer pong, “jumps around” with some Wisconsin fans and gets a surprise visit from the men of Pulp Fiction.
Next he sat down with Jared and Dustin from The Dirty Heads and talked about how they spent their New Year’s Eve (drinking all the Jack Daniels on their plane), their next album, and even got a sneak peek at their “band credit card.”
The final interviews of the day were with ESPN analyst (and former NCAA/NFL star) Desmond Howard and sideline analyst (and total hottie) Erin Andrews. Desmond explained what it’s like on the other side of the game, what his schedule is like and even gets instruction on how to do a proper Heisman pose from the former winner.
Erin gave Stryker a few beauty tips, spoke on her former college and what it’s like reporting from the middle of all the action.
