Listen up all you rude boys & girls! If you’re like me, and love ska music, there’s a great project that needs your help! The Third Wave Ska Preservation Society Vinyl Reissue Project is currently fundraising and spreading the word about their plans to reissue vinyls from ska favorites, including
[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Pietasters[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Pilfers[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Edna’s Goldfish[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Suburban Legends[/lastfm].
The ska reissue project, created by Asbestos Records & Underground Communiqué Records, was founded in the hopes that awesome ska records could again be pressed and accessible to music lovers everywhere! Previously, the creators of the project have achieved success in reissuing ska albums from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Slackers[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Mustard Plug[/lastfm] and more! They also began releasing the successful Ska Is Dead 7-inch series.
Now the project is hoping to reissue several awesome ska albums, including:
Oolooloo by The Pietasters (1995)
Pilfers (self-titled album, 1998)
Before You Knew Better by Edna’s Goldfish (1998)
Rump Shaker by Suburban Legends (2003)
Now, you can help the fundraising efforts by donating to this musical project. The project also includes some great incentives for those who donate! For as little as a $1.00 donation, you’re name will be thanked in the liner notes of the albums! Monetary pledges of $20.00 or more will receive limited edition copies of the albums of their choice!
