Back in 1995, the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Deftones [/lastfm]released their debut record Adrenaline. Fifteen years and five albums later, they are still hard at work putting out new music. 2010 saw their new creation, Diamond Eyes, debut on the charts at number 6.

Eros was to be their next album. It was already written and recorded, but then bassist Chi Cheng was seriously injured in a car accident, putting the record on hold.

Sergio Vega of the band [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Quicksand [/lastfm]stepped in, and in two months the Deftones finished a new record, Diamond Eyes. Eros, in the meantime, is still in limbo pending Cheng’s recovery…

“Beauty School” is the latest video. Unlike many concept videos we often see today, “Beauty School” consists of a series of clips from various performances and personal moments with the band.

It’s simple nature, however, adds to the intimacy of the video. You really are seeing the Deftones just being, well, the Deftones.

You can also donate money to help with Cheng’s medical expenses at oneloveforchi.com.
