Ah yes, another great tour will be rolling through town this summer as [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Blink-182[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]My Chemical Romance[/lastfm] are set to headline this year’s Honda Civic Tour. Last year, the tour featured [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Paramore[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]New Found Glory[/lastfm], and it’s clear that they intend to keep this show focused on a younger crowd by bringing in bands like Blink and My Chemical Romance. The tour will have different opening bands, with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Matt & Kim[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rancid[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Manchester Orchestra[/lastfm] hopping on different dates. There’s two stops in SoCal, one in Anaheim at the Honda Center and another at the infamous Hollywood Bowl, which will both feature Matt & Kim as the opening act.
Blink also took some heat from UK fans, who were left feeling frustrated after the band cancelled their UK tour dates. “Hopefully it’s for the best, because some of the best work on the album is being done these past few weeks. Now there’s a hard deadline for the album to be turned in, and it will be released during our US tour,” says Hoppus on a Facebook note. The last of their tour dates are here in Los Angeles, so expect to see some new material from them at the show.
