Money went on to talk about the NFL lockout following Bean’s question of, “What does it mean when the player’s union and the NFL decertifies itself? That to me says ‘hey, we’re done talking.’” Money said that “now it’s going to go to the courts and they will file charges against the NFL of collision and of antitrust, and if they’re successful, they could, if the NFL’s found guilty, owe the players three times their salaries.

That’s the big risk… When you’re a union, and you’re in negotiations with an employer or employment body, you can’t, so that’s why they had to decertify. Don’t freak out over it. They’ll get through it. They’ll have games.”

Before Money left, Kevin brought up the annual baseball bet that Money and Bean make. Bean has lost every year by insisting that his Seattle Mariners are going to have a better season and go further in the playoffs than the Angels for the last seven or eight years in a row. It’s a $50, two-part bet.

Bean, to make himself feel better about losing, has gone out of his way to make it difficult for Money to collect his winnings. Yes, he’s won the bet, so why not make him miserable in the process, right? How has Bean made good on his payments?
