It turns out the guys from [lastfm]Kings of Leon[/lastfm] are really talented, especially lead singer Caleb Followill.
According to Uncut Magazine, he managed to ad-lib all the lyrics to their upcoming new album Come Around Sundown. He even decided to go back and change them but he was voted down by the other members of the band.
[pullquote quote="I went in and ad-libbed, I free-floated everything."]Caleb had this to say, “I didn’t write lyrics. I went in and ad-libbed, I free-floated everything. The closer it got to the end, I felt like, ‘Man, you didn’t do your job’,” he told the news provider.
He added: “I kept thinking, ‘When I go back and redo the lyrics, then I’ll get it. But when I went back in to try to do that, everyone was like, ‘What are you doing? You can’t change those lyrics. Those are the lyrics.”
Caleb sounds like a perfectionist to me, good lyrics are good lyrics. In fact, can you imagine him trying to make a pizza? He would probably need to use a laser to make it a perfect circle that lived up to his standards. Well, he doesn’t have to worry about the new album because all the proof is in the success of “Radioactive”, the first single off their new album. Be sure to pick up their new album when its released on October 19th.
