So there’s this song, that you’ve probably heard about a billion times at the turn of the millennium, and it was more than likely played at your high school graduation if you were class of ’98. “Closing Time,” was [lastfm]Semisonic[/lastfm]‘s biggest hit of their career, and gets regular rotation on those 90′s Flashback weekends we do from time to time. To me, it’s a treat when I get to hear it, as it reminds me of starting 4th grade at a new school and getting to start fresh with new friends and a clean slate for good grades.
Still don’t remember that “finish your whiskey or beer,” song?
Now, back to the future. Former frontman of [lastfm]Semisonic[/lastfm], Dan Wilson, today is a solo artist and part time music collaborator with other high-profile bands like the [lastfm]Bravery[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Josh Groban[/lastfm]. Dan Wilson has being touring solo since 2008, touring since 2007 and continues to co-write songs for other artists.
