Liam Gallagher Opens Clothing Shop In London
Move over J.Lo. and Justin Timberlake. There’s a new musician turned fashion guru in town.
The former [lastfm]Oasis[/lastfm] frontman debuted his high-end clothing line Pretty Green last week, which has been described as “antifashion.” Go figure.
Pretty Green (named after [lastfm]The Jam[/lastfm] song) opened in the heart of London’s fashion, art, and music district on Carnaby Street early Friday morning. The store promises to showcase clothing items represented by the history and flair of the iconic rock n’ roll hot spot, using quality fabrics and cuts that will surely appeal to anyone strapped to the 60’s mod spirit.

Gallagher’s goal? Get rid of “that skinny look…that s**t, those pointy shoes,” and recycling it with “classic…nothing wild, not Jean Paul Gaultier, just cool.”
Pretty Green‘s inventory will feature exclusive one-off items, along with the Green Label and Black label Spring Summer collections. And when you stroll through the pop-shop, Liam Gallagher’s presence will surely be felt as behemoth-sized photographs of the Englishman will be scattered about.
Gallagher is also busy working on a [lastfm]Beatles[/lastfm] biopic based on Richard Dilello’s book “The Longest Cocktail Party”, which documents the history of the Beatles’ company Apple Corps, the break-up of the band, and the origin of their solo work. Stating that perfecting the film is at the top of his to-do list, “I’m more worried about getting that book right than getting the clothes right, and my record right. I’m not going to be in the film but I’m worried about getting it right, because it’s other people’s lives.”
