I was ranting on Friday’s Kevin & Bean show that we must pull together collectively as a nation and never allow NBC to host the Olympics again. Their insistence on tape delaying live sporting events, sometimes by as much as 12 hours, just doesn’t make sense in our modern world.
Unless you were willing to avoid all radio, TV and internet during the entire 16 days of the Vancouver WInter Olympic Games you had results spoiled for you.
Now, something called TechCrunch has analyzed 20,000 Tweets and 5700 blog posts and forum comments for a report they call “How We Hate NBC’s Olympics Coverage: A Statistical Breakdown.”
It’s no surprise that the tape delay was the #1 complaint among these social media users but click MORE to see all the other ways that NBC is fail.

Additionally, “sentiment analysis for the NBC Olympics” broke 73 percent negative and 27 percent positive. Click here to see the whole report.
Here’s some rare good news though. In a decision announced Friday, the USA vs. Canada Men’s Hockey Gold Medal Game will actually air live today at noon Pacific Time. Yes, believe it or not, NBC was planning to tape delay it by three hours, like they did with the USA-Switzerland game but somebody woke up and smelled the future.
